Sen. Murray speaks at a roundtable discussion on local health issues in Wenatchee, WA with community leaders.

"There is no doubt that our state is facing a health care crisis," Sen. Murray said. "I'm here today because I want to bring together patients, doctors, and leaders in the community to focus on solutions we can achieve together."

Sen. Murray spoke about recent legislation regarding Medicare, prescription drugs, the nursing shortage, and other relevant local health issues.

As a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Sen. Murray has secured federal funding for healthcare in Washington state. (08/12/02)
