U.S. Senator David Vitter Announces $950,000 Grant for the Hammond Municipal Airport
 
February 16, 2005 - 

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter announced that the Hammond Municipal Airport will receive a federal grant of $950,000 to rehabilitate a runway.

“I am pleased that the U.S. Department of Transportation made this federal money available to the Hammond Municipal Airport.  This grant will help improve travel into Hammond and bring potential economic benefits to Tangipahoa Parish,” said Sen. Vitter.

The $950,000 grant will be used to rehabilitate a runway and was awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
