Vitter Comments on Third Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina

August 29, 2008 -  Untitled Document

(Metairie, LA) – U.S. Sen. David Vitter today issued the following statement on the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

“It’s been a long, tough three years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  But the good news is that Louisianans have fought back with an amazing spirit and determination.

“I think we’ve all learned a lot in the process, too.  And I’m working extremely hard with governor Jindal, the relevant federal agencies and others to make sure we put all of those lessons in practice as we prepare for Gustav.  And may God watch over us and stretch out his hand of protection over us as we do,” said Vitter.
