Vitter Announces Grant Funding for Village of French Settlement Police Department |

January 4, 2007 - (Washington, D.C.) –U.S. Sen. David Vitter announced today that the Village of French Settlement will receive a federal grant of $103,150 for its police force. “I am pleased that the U.S. Department of Agriculture made this federal funding available to help patrol the community,” Vitter said. “This federal funding will promote safer streets and a more secure environment for community residents.” The grant, which is provided under the Community Facility Grant Program, will help the town’s police force purchase two new patrol cars and other essential equipment to protect and serve the community. |
