(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Sen. David Vitter and U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development will award a $204,100 grant to upgrade the Catahoula Parish water system.

“I’m pleased that USDA Rural Development made this grant available to upgrade the Catahoula Parish water system,” said Vitter. “This federal funding will ensure that residents of Enterprise will continue to have access to a dependable supply of drinking water.”

“Enterprise residents needed federal funding for this project several years ago and this USDA grant is good news to them,” Alexander said. “This federal funding will vastly improve the current water system for Enterprise residents.”

The grant, which is provided under the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program, will be used toward installing a ground storage tank and redesigning the remote booster station.
