Hello. My name is Steven Bergman, I was born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I recently graduated from Whittier College in Whittier, California where I studied United States and European history as well as international organizations. As an intern I have been able to combine my classroom learning with real-world experiences to develop a more complete understanding of the political process. Through attending committee hearings, meeting constituent groups, and hands-on engagement of policy, I have learned a great deal about politics and what life is like on The Hill. |

My experience in Washington DC is simply amazing! Not only have I had the wonderful opportunity work in our nation's capital, but I've also got to meet the people who run our government. I have had a priceless time while interning in DC and would suggest an internship to anybody who has the opportunity! |
Hi! My name is Andrew Peterson and I am from Minnetonka, Minnesota. I am a junior at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where I am pursuing a double major in Economics and Political Science. Working as an intern in Senator Conrad's office is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the political process, meet people from every walk of life, and serve in our nation's capitol. I hope this internship is only the beginning of a long career in government and civil service. |
Hello. My name is Odette Hurle and I am a study abroad student currently studying at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and have lived half my life in New Zealand and the other half in Perth, Western Australia. I attend the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle where I am in my 4th year of a double degree with a double major. I am currently finishing my last semester of my Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Politics and History and have 18 months left to finish my Bachelor of Laws degree. I am so excited and honoured to be interning for Senator Conrad and the people of North Dakota and understand what an invaluable experience this will be in any aspect of my future career. It is fascinating to participate in American democracy, especially during the Presidential election period and I am interested in learning as much as possible about American politics during this internship. |
