At the Longview Armory, Senator Murray talks with Guard members who have recently returned home from serving our country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The discussion included representatives from the Kelso VFW and Worksource. Some of the challenges Murray heard about include:

• a veteran who was unable to get care from the VA and was forced to pay for care out of his own pocket,
• a veteran who’s medical care was complicated by a lack of communication between the VA, the Army and civilian doctors,
• and a veteran who returned home needing healthcare, unable to work and unable to collect unemployment benefits.
