John Kerry visits The Epiphany School in Dorchester

John Kerry visits Epiphany School in Dorchester

Today I met with 8th graders from The Epiphany School in Dorchester. The Epiphany School is an independent, tuition-free, middle school for children of economically disadvantaged families from Boston neighborhoods. The students are here visiting the nation’s capitol as part of an annual trip to learn more about the United States government. I listened as they shared with me their thoughts about the importance of becoming actively involved in their community. We also talked about the opening day of Major League Baseball and how the Red Sox, as of right now, are undefeated! It’s always good to talk with students – it keeps you young. If we can get more passionate, smart people like these kids interested in public service, we’ll all be a lot better off!
