Senator John Kerry to Visit Upper Housatonic River Valley to Highlight the Importance of Designating it a National Historic Preservation Area




John Kerry in Pittsfield, MA
On Thursday, June 2nd, 2005 Senator John Kerry will be visiting the Upper Housatonic Valley to highlight the importance to designating it a National Historic Preservation Area. The Upper Housatonic River Valley runs along the western border of Massachusetts and Connecticut. It is bounded to the East by the commerce and development of the Connecticut River and to the West by the Hudson River. It covers an area of 950 square miles and some 29 communities.
