Flag REQUESTS

Please note that my office will have to transfer any requests to fly a flag over the US Capitol Building postmarked after December 31, 2008, or requests for flags to be flown after January 20, 2009, to New York's "Senator-Designate."

Due to high demand, I am able to provide this service to New York State residents ONLY. Non-New York residents, please contact your senator's office.

To place your order for a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, please fill out the ONLINE ORDER FORM and mail a check or money order, for the full amount of your order (see pricing chart below), made payable to the Keeper of the Stationery. Please indicate the recipient’s name in the memo section of your check. Alternatively, you may print the ORDER FORM on this page and mail it, along with the payment, to my office.

Pricing: All flags are provided at a cost to you, the requester (see pricing chart below). Requesters must purchase all flags flown over the U.S. Capitol. Additionally, second and third-party billing is not allowed, and credit cards are not accepted.

Time Considerations: My office will process requests in the order they are received, which means that we will not be able to guarantee the receipt of a flag for a specific date.

Please be advised that due to the continued testing and processing of all mail coming into the United States Senate, there is a delay of at least several weeks for all mail arriving at my Washington , DC office. Therefore, we advise you to send your flag request at least six weeks in advance of your requested flying date. If you cannot meet this timeline, we ask that you supply us with a secondary flag flying date so we can best accommodate your request.

Due to the high volume of requests currently being processed, it is taking up to six weeks to ship flags after they have been flown.
