Senator Murray is working to help veterans get the medical care they need. One of her proposals was adopted by the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee on which she serves.

Murray's successful amendment to the "Veteran's Long-Term Care and Mental Health Enhancement Act" would create a pilot program to make available trained medical staff every week for veterans in Whatcom, Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Kittitas counties.

The Veterans' bill now moves on to the full Senate. (06/06/02)
