Aloha, this is Dan Akaka.  Veterans Day is a time for us to take a moment to remember the proud, brave Americans who have answered the call to defend our nation. 

This year, we observe the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial.  The wall, etched with the names of so many fallen heroes, is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for our country. 

To all our veterans, their families, and our brave men and women in the forces today, a special Mahalo Nui Loa.  You have our thoughts and prayers.  This day is for you.
