Bankoh helps public housing

Bank of Hawaii and YouthBuild Honolulu volunteers will be painting and cleaning eight Hawaii Public Housing Authority housing units Saturday as part of National Community Build Day, a nationwide event organized by the Financial Services Roundtable.

The event will be held at 94-941 Kauolu Pl. in Waipahu at Kamalu-Ho'olulu Public Housing Complex. Honored guests will be U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye, U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka, U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono, state Sen. Suzanne Chun Oakland, Hawaii Public Housing Authority Executive Director Chad Taniguchi, City Department of Community Services Director Debbie Morikawa, Bank of Hawaii Chief Executive Al Landon and Bank of Hawaii President Peter Ho.
