Patients' Bill of Rights Legislation
to Move in Senate

Thursday, June 8, 2000

Dodd speaks at the press conference flanked by members
from both parties in both the House and Senate.

Senator Dodd joined a bipartisan group of members of Congress at a press conference to announce plans to offer and vote on the Norwood-Dingell Patients' Bill of Rights (PBOR) legislation in the Senate. The move gives members of the Senate a chance to act to protect the health care rights of Americans at a time when activity on the House-Senate Conference Committee on PBOR legislation has stalled.

Dodd is a member of the Conference and a senior member of the Senate Health, Labor, and Education Committee.
