Part of Public Service's vision is to promote the well being of our region with valuable economic development and civic initiatives, including programs that improve our customers' quality of life. We believe that corporate citizenship requires companies to take into account issues that are important to their employees, the country, and the world.

Businesses need to demonstrate that they take seriously the concerns of the society in which they operate and that they are prepared to help address them. One way for businesses to help address these concerns is to foster an atmosphere of community service within the workplace.

At Public Service of New Hampshire, we are fortunate that the spirit of community service is important to our employees. Hundreds of our employees volunteer thousands of hours in their communities, working hard to improve the well being of their fellow community members and neighbors.

Our cornerstone program, Volunteer of the Year, recognizes the community service of our employees and supports such involvement by contributing grants on behalf of the volunteers to their respective organizations.

PSNH supports employee volunteers in many ways. One is through the Community Service Involvement (CSI) Grant Program. Applicants may volunteer in a local soup kitchen, support the March of Dimes, coach their child's basketball team or perform any number of worthwhile activities. To qualify for a CSI grant, applicants must be an employee of PSNH and volunteer for a community service project, serve on a board of directors, or work on a committee for a non-profit organization. PSNH employees also generously donate their time to organizations that PSNH contributes funds to.
