Dig Safe Program

Call Before You Dig!

Whether you're a contractor working on a site or a homeowner working around your own home, digging can be dangerous if you don't check first for underground wiring or cables. There could also be other underground utilities such as natural gas, water or sewer lines.

Never dig around your home or business without first calling this toll-free number for Dig Safe in New Hampshire: 1-888-344-7233. This statewide clearinghouse will contact member utilities to come to the site and mark where the underground utilities are. New Hampshire law requires you to call at least three full working days before digging (excludes weekends and holidays).
