PeakSmartPlus

In response to the popularity of its PeakSmart program, Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH) is introducing an enhanced version, called PeakSmartPlus, which offers an additional incentive for customers who can commit to the program for a full year.

Working Together

PeakSmartPlus is a collaboration between PSNH and ISO-New England (ISO-NE), the independent operator responsible for maintaining the reliability of the regional transmission system. PeakSmartPlus is designed to reduce the region’s peak electricity demand and provides financial incentives to businesses when they agree to reduce their power consumption during periods of peak demand.

Just for Being Ready

By understanding how, when, and where they use energy, customers can alter their usage patterns and plan how they will reduce consumption when the time comes. Under certain circumstances customers can also run emergency generators as part of their demand reduction strategy. How much they reduce is up to them. What makes PeakSmartPlus unique is that it compensates customers just for being ready. By signing a one-year contract and honoring the agreement, participants are paid each and every month.
