A field has been developed to make searching the CBD database easier than ever. The new field allows you to search by the date the notice was placed on-line. You can use this "posted date field" to search for notices placed on-line on an exact date, in a date range as well as before or after a certain date.
This new searching capability is available when searching the CBD database:
FIELDED SEARCH PAGE
You are now given the opportunity to use the posted date as a field. It is listed directly under the Full-text search box. The fielded page is located at:
http://cbdnet.access.gpo.gov/search2.html
SIMPLE SEARCH PAGE
From the simple search page simply type in the fieldname "posted" followed by the equals sign (=) followed by the NUMERIC DATE. For example: posted=2/18/1998 will find all notices posted online on that date. Other possible search strings are as follows;
posted<2/18/1998 searches for all notices posted before that date
posted>2/18/1998 searches for all notices posted after that date
posted>2/17/1998 AND posted<2/19/1998 searches for all notices posted between 2/17 and 2/19.
You must use slashes in your date and preceding zeros are not needed for single digit months/days. The simple search page is located at:
http://cbdnet.access.gpo.gov/search1.html
Please note: The search string "posted on February 17" will no longer be an effective search.
