Watt Watchers of Texas is a free, state sponsored program to help schools
save energy
and money by getting students involved.
Students patrol their school
looking for empty
classrooms with the lights on. They turn out the lights and leave a
ticket for the teacher.
It may sound trivial but...when the teacher forgets to turn out
the lights an extra 2 hours per day,
at lunch and after school,
for example -
it costs the district $50 every year. Get your students involved.
Save energy,
save money,
and prevent pollution.
