We are accepting proposals for a variety of workshops at the 2009 Energy Fair. Get the workshop proposal form HERE. Proposals are due by February 15, 2009.

Action Alert

Information on Act 63
Wisconsin recently passed Act 63 that will establish a statewide licensing system for electricians and electrical contractors. The MREA is encouraging our members get information and share your opinions regarding Act 63. Get details HERE

Federal Renewable Energy Tax Credits Signed Into Law!
After much debate and work the renewable energy tax credits that were set to expire have now been improved and extended for 8 years. The new law includes the 30% solar tax credit and removal of the overall cap for residential solar installations. The new law will also extend research and development tax credits. You can find more on the bill here.

Renewable Energy Seminars Offered
We Energies has partnered with the MREA to offer two seminars; PV For Your Home and Solar Water Heating For Your Home. The seminars will be offered at least ten times each throughout 2009 at various locations in We Energies territory. These are great introductory learning sessions for anyone interested in gaining a basic understanding of the technology and steps involved in making a renewable residence.
