SENSENBRENNER HAS NO MORE INAUGURATION TICKETS

Washington, DC, Dec 20, 2008 -

Thank you for contacting my office with your request for tickets to attend the official swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joseph Biden on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.  This will undoubtedly be a historic event, and I encourage everyone to visit Washington, D.C. during this time.

Due to the popularity of the event, I received close to 1,000 requests for tickets to attend the inaugural ceremonies.  Since I am only allotted 198 tickets, I could not accommodate everyone’s request.  Through a random lottery system, my staff and I selected folks who would receive tickets, so those decisions have been made, and all tickets are now spoken for.  Consequently, I’m sorry to say that I cannot accommodate any further requests.

If you have already made plans to travel to Washington, D.C., I encourage you to keep them, as there are other activities related to the Inaugural you may participate in.  And again, you can rest assured in the knowledge that you will be in our nation’s capital during a time of extreme historical significance, with a unique opportunity to share the moment with millions of fellow Americans.

If there is anything further I can assist you with, please feel free to contact me at either my Brookfield or Washington, D.C. offices.  Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.
