On March 8, 2007, Speaker Nancy Pelosi established the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. I am proud to have been chosen by the Speaker to serve on this committee.

Chaired by Representative Edward Markey (D-MA), the Select Committee is responsible for investigating the causes of climate change and developing recommendations for policies, to reduce US dependence on foreign sources of energy.
