The Senate Judiciary Committee is preparing for confirmation proceedings on the nomination of Eric H. Holder Jr., to be Attorney General of the United States. If confirmed, Eric Holder would become the 82nd Attorney General. Confirmation hearings are scheduled to begin January 15, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. in the historic Senate Caucus Room, room 325 of the Russell Senate Office Building. The hearing will be webcast live online.
