SUBJECT: United States Office of Personnel Management Listserv for Rider Information

For many years, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) distributed rider information on its publications by mailing Rider Information notices to subscribers. OPM has now discontinued sending Rider Information notices in paper format, having recently converted to a free e-mail subscription service.

To subscribe to OPM's e-mail subscription service for this information, send an e-mail message to listserv@listserv.opm.gov. In the body (not the subject line) of that e-mail, in either upper or lower case, type:

SUBSCRIBE RIDERINFO first name last name

Type in your first and last name where first name and last name appear. OPM's listserv system will "pick up" your e-mail address from the actual heading of your e-mail message. You will then receive a confirmation message to which you should reply "OK." This prevents someone else from subscribing for you.

OPM will then send you confirmation of your subscription and instructions on how to unsubscribe and maintain your information current.
