SUBJECT: Rider Requisitions for the Council of Economic Advisers' Factbook:
Indicators of Social and Economic Well-Being by Race and Hispanic Origin

Indicators of Social and Economic Well-Being by Race and Hispanic Origin is being prepared for printing. This factbook, which supports issues being addressed by the President's Initiative on Race, contains annotated charts in seven topical areas and is one of the few Government publications that brings together data by race and Hispanic origin in a single publication. These areas are population, education, labor markets, economic status, health, crime and criminal justice, and housing and neighborhoods. The factbook is designed for a non-technical audience, particularly community groups, policy makers, press, and educators.

The planned release for this factbook is mid-September. The exact number of pages cannot be known at this time, and the actual rider rate is impossible to forecast. However, for budgeting purposes, the estimated rider cost of this publication will be approximately $2.25 per copy.
Rider requisitions WILL NOT be accepted after August 3, 1998.
