Washington D.C. - Congressman Jeff Fortenberry has been named the ranking Republican member of the House Small Business Committee's new Subcommittee on Rural and Urban Entrepreneurship.
"I am honored to serve in a leadership position on the newly created Subcommittee on Rural and Urban Entrepreneurship," Fortenberry said. "This is an extraordinary opportunity to work on matters that are important to America's small business owners. In this role I will focus efforts on making small business entrepreneurship an important part of good rural and community development."
Fortenberry will also continue his service on the House Agriculture Committee, where he has been selected for a new subcommittee focusing on ag-based renewable energy. "I will continue to prioritize renewable energy and other new agricultural opportunities within farm policy," Fortenberry said.
