Fortenberry Helps Introduce Parents Tax Relief Legislation

Washington D.C. - Congressman Jeff Fortenberry today joined Congressman Lee Terry (NE-02) and Senator Sam Brownback (KS) to help introduce the Parents Tax Relief Act of 2007. This legislation will provide sensible tax assistance to hard-working families.

The strength of our nation depends upon the strength of our families and communities, Fortenberry said. Parents juggling family and work commitments deserve a fairer tax code. The Parents Tax Relief Act provides multiple benefits for families. It makes permanent the Child Tax Credit, eliminates the Marriage Penalty Tax, and supports new types of work arrangements.
