  • Fifty-nine percent of the gasoline and diesel vehicles in Denver/Boulder fleets are less than 4 years old.
  • Another twenty-three percent are between 4 and 6 years old.
  • High vehicle turnover creates the opportunity for selling alternative-fuel vehicles to non-fleet owners.
  • But rapid turnover of fleet vehicles means a shorter time in which to recover the investment cost of alternative-fuel vehicles.
