  • Fifty-six percent of area fleets typically purchase their gasoline and diesel fuel at public stations.
  • Eighteen percent of area fleets use private off-site fueling stations to obtain their gasoline and diesel fuel.
  • Eight percent of the Denver/Boulder area fleets typically fuel on-site.
  • Fourteen percent of the fleets used multiple methods to obtain their fuel.
  • With a limited alternative-fuel infrastructure, fleets that fuel on-site, i.e., at central fueling locations are considered to be prime targets for conversion to AFVs.
