1. The number of FRS respondent companies in 2006 declined from 29 in 2005 to 27 in 2006 with the acquisition of Premcor Inc., by Valero Energy Corporation and of Unocal Corporation by Chevron Corporation.

2. FRS companies' revenues equaled 14 percent of the revenues of the Fortune 500 corporations in 2006.

3. FRS companies’ accounted for 44 percent of U.S. crude and NGL production, 43 percent of U.S. natural gas production, and 81 percent of U.S. refining capacity in 2006.
