Committee on Science and Technology Highlights New Website

(Washington, DC) –The House Committee on Science and Technology launched a new website. The Committee’s website includes new features that will improve navigation, usability, and functionality.

“I want to make it as easy as possible for the public to find out what the Committee is working on,” stated Chairman Bart Gordon (D-TN).  “Our website has become part of our official record.  We’re going to maintain that depth of content, but add some features that will make the website easier to use.  I hope our website can continue to be a valuable tool for stakeholders, students, citizens, and the press.  It allows equal access, whether someone is in DC, at NASA, or at MTSU.”

The Committee’s new website features include:

  • A calendar that allows people to automatically add events to their Outlook calendar;
  • A poll to receive feedback regarding issues related to the Committee’s work; and
  • A Committee History button that links to a PDF of the full report, released in celebration of the Committee’s 50th anniversary.

The website will maintain and improve existing features, including:

  • A THOMAS search box to provide easy access to bill information;
  • An RSS feed button to allow people to receive updates from our website; and
  • Access to previous hearing charters, witness testimonies, press releases, opening statements, and markup records.

The Committee’s website was previously awarded the Gold Mouse Award by the Congressional Management Foundation, a non-profit, non-partisan management consulting and research organization in Washington, D.C.
