PRESS ALERT: SENATOR COCHRAN ADDRESSES ENGINEERING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERTS AT ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON SEPTEMBER 17 COCHRAN WILL DISCUSS HOMELAND SECURITY ISSUES

Washington, D.C. -- Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) will address members of the Infrastructure Security Partnership at their 2nd Annual Congress on Infrastructure Security for the Built Environment at a luncheon on Wednesday, September 17, at 12:15 p.m. (Noon) (Eastern) at the Hyatt Regency Washington, 400 New Jersey Avenue, room Regency A, on Capitol Hill.

Cochran, who is Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, will discuss homeland security issues, the budget, and related topics, before an audience representing more than 175 public and private-sector organizations who are members of the Infrastructure Security Partnership.

The Infrastructure Security Partnership is comprised of contractors, engineers, architects and allied professions who design and build America's infrastructure. The group was formed as a direct response to the events of September 11th in the effort to bring together organizations and agencies whose expertise have a direct impact on the future security of America's built infrastructure.
