COCHRAN ANNOUNCES NEW FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

Washington, D.C. – Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) announced that Leon C. Bramlett, Jr. of Clarksdale has been selected to be a Field Representative based out of the Senator's Oxford Office.

Bramlett will represent Senator Cochran at various meetings and functions throughout the State. He officially starts his new position effective today.

Cochran said, "I am very pleased to announce that Leon Bramlett has agreed to join my staff. His vast experiences in the areas of business and farming and his distinguished leadership of many state and community organizations make him an outstanding asset to my staff."

For over fifty years, Bramlett has owned and operated Bramlett Farms and Bramlett Gin & Delint Company in Clarksdale. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he was an All American football player in 1944 and 1945, and in 1988, he was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame. After graduation from the Naval Academy, he served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. ###
