Washington, D.C. – Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) announced today that Hunter Moorhead of Greenville, Mississippi, has been selected to be a Legislative Assistant who will be responsible for handling agricultural issues. Moorhead is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
After graduation, Moorhead worked as an Agriculture Legislative Assistant for Representative Mike Parker. For the past 2 ½ years, he has been working for the House Agriculture Committee, most recently as the Staff Director for the Risk Management, Research and Specialty Crops Subcommittee. Hunter officially started his new position on April 16.
