COCHRAN ANNOUNCES NEW JOBS FOR MISSISSIPPI

Washington, D.C. – American Eurocopter Corporation has selected Mississippi as the site of a new facility that will employ approximately 100 workers, Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) announced today.

Cochran said, "I am pleased that American Eurocopter has chosen to do business in our state. It means jobs for Mississippians at a time when jobs have been hard to find."

Senator Cochran was advised of the decision after a meeting with the company in his Washington, D.C. office earlier this month.

American Eurocopter is considering several locations in the state and will announce their decision at a later date.

Eurocopter offers the world's largest civil and military helicopter range and employs more than 10,000 people on five continents. Almost 9,000 Eurocopter helicopters fly in 133 countries for approximately 2,000 customers. The group now accounts for 30% of the world market.

Eurocopter is a wholly-owned subsidiary of EADS (European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company). With revenues amounting to 30,8 billion Euro, EADS is the largest European aerospace company and No. 2 worldwide.
