Washington, DC Tour Information
Thank you for your interest in visiting
Washington D.C. We are happy to assist in making your visit to
our nation’s capital as enjoyable and enriching as possible.
There is so much to see and experience in Washington D.C. –
from the workings of congress to the memorials to the many cultural
institutions.
Though we are eager to help everyone, please note that
many tours – especially White House tours – must be
made far in advance to have a opportunity to succeed.
Please carefully follow the instructions that follow so that
we may efficiently assist you.
United States Capitol
Staff-led tours of the United States Capitol must be requested
at least 30 days prior to the desired day. Please call
202-224-6542 to make a reservation for a staff led tour
of the Capitol.
The White House
Public tours of the White House are available for groups of 10
or more people. Requests must be submitted through the Senator’s
office and are accepted up to six months in advance but must
be made no less than 30 days prior to the requested date.
These self-guided tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal holidays), and
are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage
you to submit your request as early as possible since a limited
number of tours are available, especially March through June.
All White House tours are free of charge. Please note that White
House tours may be subject to last minute cancellation, and may
not be rescheduled.
Federal Bureau of Investigation
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently closed
to tours.
Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Reserved tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing can be
made through our office up to six months in advance.
Public tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing are available
9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.(every
15 minutes) and during the summer (APRIL-AUG): 2:00 p.m. –
3:45 p.m. ( every 15 minutes) & 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
(every 15 minutes)
Supreme Court
Tours of the Supreme Court are available to the public without
reservation every hour, on the half-hour between 9:30am and 3:30pm,
when the Court is not sitting. Our office can make arrangements
for a Congressional lecture for groups of 6 people or less that
take place in the early afternoon.
Library of Congress
The Library of Congress schedules reserved tours Monday through
Friday, in the morning and afternoon. Please contact our Washington
D.C. office at 202-224-6542, for a reserved tour. Public tours
of the library are also available all day.
Holocaust Museum Tickets
Click on the link to
be directed to the museum website to reserve tickets. Tickets
are limited, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
United States Mint in Philadelphia and Denver
