State Government

Senator Lieberman's Constituent Service Center regularly receives the following questions regarding Connecticut state government. If your question is not answered here, please send an email so that his staff may address your concern.

Q: Where can I go to find out more information about the State of Connecticut or locate state agencies?

Please visit the State of Connecticut's website for a comprehensive repository of information relating to the State of Connecticut.

Q: I would like to express an opinion about a piece of legislation that is being considered by the Connecticut General Assembly. Who should I contact?

You should contact either your State Senator or State Representative. Click here to find out who your State Senator or State Representative is and to obtain contact information for these individuals.

Q: I am having a problem with a State of Connecticut agency. Can Senator Lieberman's Constituent Service Center assist me with my problem?

Senator Lieberman does not have jurisdiction over the decisions rendered by State of Connecticut agencies, including the Department of Corrections, Department of Children and Families, and others. Some state agencies have established an Office of the Ombudsman to hear concerns about agency decisions and actions. Please contact individual agencies to determine if an ombudsman exists and the appropriate contact for that office.
