United States Senate Page
Program
As a senior Member in the Senate, I have the appointment power
to select one page during each of the three sessions: fall and spring
school semesters and summer. There are a total of thirty page positions
within the United States Senate at any given time to serve its one
hundred Members. Eligibility is strictly limited to juniors in high
school.
Page duties include the delivery of correspondence and legislative
materials for Members along with various activities within the Senate
Chambers. During the school year, pages are required to attend the
Senate Page School which meets in the mornings prior to the commencement
of the Senate. Courses include mathematics, English, social studies,
science, and foreign language.
Students (from Indiana only) seeking page sponsorship must submit
a completed page application
along with a current high school transcript, three letters of recommendation,
and a copy of their birth certificate.
