For Joe Biden, Delaware has always come first. That’s why he is working so hard to make sure Delaware’s voices are heard in the halls of Congress and why, for over 35 years, he has come home to Delaware every night when the Senate finishes its business.
As a parent, Joe Biden wants to ensure that our children grow up in a safe environment and have the educational tools and skills they will need to meet the challenges of tomorrow. He knows the importance of clean air and water, and schools that are safe, in good repair, and well-equipped. And he has worked hard to protect Social Security and Medicare for Delaware’s seniors.
The effects of Senator Biden’s most significant legislative accomplishments can be felt across Delaware: the Biden Crime Bill has put over 200 additional police officers on Delaware’s streets; Senator Biden’s Adam Walsh Act was immediately implemented in Delaware to protect children from predators; and as a result of the Violence Against Women Act, over $10 million has helped victims of domestic violence in Delaware return to safe, stable lives.
