The 2007 Biennial Survey of Federal Depository Libraries
will be available online at the FDLP Desktop Web site soon. All depository
libraries are legally required to complete this survey.

Taking the Survey
You will receive another email notifying you when the survey has been opened for submissions.
Please review the questions and prepare your answers so that you will be ready to submit your responses online when the survey is activated. Printing out the questions and reviewing them with the library director beforehand will save time and will provide a file copy of the library's answers for future reference. Submit any questions about the survey via askGPO by selecting Federal Depository Libraries as the category and Biennial Survey as the subcategory.
Please answer all questions based on the library's current status, unless otherwise directed.

About the Biennial Survey
The Superintendent of Documents is responsible for conducting the Biennial Survey of Depository Libraries. Required by Title 44, United States Code, §1909, the Biennial Survey provides GPO with important information for administering the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). All depository libraries are legally required to complete this survey. All depository libraries are responsible for entering the answers to each question via the online survey on the FDLP Desktop.
