Rock Hudson was born on November 17, 1925, in Winnetka, Illinois. Mr. Hudson, a Hollywood motion picture star, was not the subject of an FBI investigation; however, his name was mentioned in the files of other subjects. Mr. Hudson was interviewed on the Paramount Studio Lot, Los Angeles, California, on June 23, 1965. He advised the Bureau agents that he was divorced from his wife, the former Phyllis Gates, in 1957 or 1958. Ms. Gates was the secretary to Mr. Hudson's agent prior to their marriage, and was living in Europe at the time of the interview. Mr. Hudson died on October 2, 1985, in Beverly Hills, California.
