BIDEN Issues Statement on U.S.-India Nuclear Agreement

Washington, DC – Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE) issued the following statement today after President Bush submitted the U.S.-India nuclear agreement to Congress:
"I am pleased the President has submitted to Congress the agreement on peaceful nuclear cooperation with India. The Foreign Relations Committee will act promptly to review the agreement in a hearing, as soon as next week."
