Aims Community College Selected for Controller Training Initiative
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, at the urging of United States Senator Ken Salazar, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) selected Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado for participation in the Air Traffic Controller Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI). The CTI, which includes 31 partner colleges and universities throughout the country, prepares and trains students interested in a career as an air traffic controller. “Aims Community College is a top-notch educational institution with an established aviation program that is poised to grow immensely over the next decade,” said Senator Salazar. “The CTI program will help spur this growth, and provide Aims students with the training and experience necessary to secure high-quality jobs as air traffic controllers upon graduation. I congratulate Aims and the FAA on their new partnership.” A copy of Senator Salazar’s letter to the FAA supporting Aims’ application to the CTI program can be found here. ###
