Sen. Salazar Pleased that Colorado Springs Facility Wins Airbus Contract

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar released the following statement upon learning that the Goodrich facility in Colorado Springs has won an Airbus contract to manufacture cabin attendant seats for all of the Airbus A320 family aircraft. Currently, Airbus has more than 2,500 A320 family aircraft on order for delivery between 2008 and 2017 and the contract is expected to generate up to $100 million in revenue.

“This is great news for the workers at the Goodrich facility in Colorado Springs who have worked hard to make Colorado the gold standard for aerospace manufacturing. This award will have a positive long-term impact on Colorado’s economy.”
