SEN. SALAZAR’S STATEMENT ON MEETING WITH JUDGE ROBERTS TODAY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Senator Ken Salazar today released the following statement regarding the fourth anniversary of the September 11th attacks:

“Four years ago, our Nation was united in response to acts of unspeakable cowardice and incomprehensible evil.

This weekend, I plan to join other Americans around our Nation in prayer to mourn those who were lost, to ask for healing for those whose lives were upended by this tragedy, and to seek strength as we continue our efforts to rid the world of the ideologies of hatred and fear.

When faced with a challenge, be it 9/11, our troops in harms way in Iraq or more recently with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, America has always shown its ability to come together in unity. We remain one unified community today as we reflect on the past and our common vision of a future of freedom and peace.”
