Shelby Announces $36,250 for the University of Alabama at Birmingham

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $36,250 to the University of Alabama at Birmingham for heart and vascular disease research.

“UAB is one of the premier medical schools in the nation,” said Shelby. “This funding will help ensure that the university continues to conduct cutting edge research.  I am confident that the results of this work will benefit many people across the United States.”
