U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) was formerly known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). In 2002, the United States Department of Homeland Security was established, and USCIS now falls under this department's jurisdiction.

USCIS is responsible for administering immigration and naturalization services, such as processing applications for entering, exiting and residing in the United States either on a temporary or permanent basis. Please see the appropriate web sites listed to the right for more information.

If your case has exceeded the estimated processing time, please complete the Privacy Act waiver and provide details about your situation or problem on the form, then mail that form to any of my state offices.
