Congressional pages are high school students who work in the U.S. Capitol as messengers for members of Congress and Congressional staffers. The page program is an opportunity for young men and women to learn firsthand about the operations of the legislative branch of government.
Prospective applicants seeking a Congressional nomination to serve as a page in the House of Representatives must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicant must receive a letter of recommendation from Rep. Weldon;
2. Applicant must be at least 16 years of age at the time their appointment begins;
3. Applicant must have an average of "B" or better in all major courses including English, science, mathematics, social studies and foreign language.
Students who are interested in applying to become a page should contact Cathy Graham in Congressman Weldon's Washington, D.C. office at 202-225-3671 to obtain additional information and an application form.
