SENATE HOMELAND SECURITY AND GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE ISSUES FURTHER REQUESTS FOR GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS FOR HURRICANE KATRINA INVESTIGATION
 
WASHINGTON, DC-As part of the Committee’s investigation into Hurricane Katrina, Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Susan Collins and Ranking Member Joseph Lieberman have requested additional federal, state, and local government documents related to planning for and response to the hurricane.

Senators Collins and Lieberman have requested documents from the offices of the President and Vice President of the United States, the offices of the Governors of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, the office of the Mayor of New Orleans, the Departments of Transportation and Justice, and several other federal agencies and departments.

Copies of the document requests are posted on the Committee’s website: www.hsgac.senate.gov .
