Dear Friends:
In July we enjoyed a wonderful trip to Indiana and toured energy efficient homes in Carmel and Zionsville where we witnessed, first hand, the leading edge of energy efficient technologies available. We also recognized Rob Lykins as a Lugar Energy Patriot.
On July 30, the President signed historic legislation to authorize $48 billion for global HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis programs for the next five fiscal years. I would like to thank Chairman Biden for working with me to achieve a bipartisan approach to the reauthorization of our nation’s program to combat these diseases. This funding will save lives on a massive scale and preserve the fabric of numerous fragile societies.
Thank you for taking the time to read our monthly update.
Sincerely,
